SPSS for week 2 assignment

I completed the SPSS charts/diagrams for the assignment. Now it is on to the analysis and write-up.
I used the trial version of SPSS I signed up for last time. I think the student version is now available (for me - rather than for a class). I have to obtain details.

Starting week 2 assignment

I am about to start the week 2 assignment. There is just one assignment this week.

Week 1 assignments submitted

I submitted the assignments just before the deadline last night. "It came down to the wire" as they say. I was busy yesterday (I was out with my folks and even moved the remaining stuff from my apartment) & so did not spend the time I anticipated/expected on the assignments. It all worked out though.

Part A & other work

I worked on Part A for several hours. I am getting close to the "final product."
I am ready to work in SPSS, but cannot because I do not have access to SPSS (I did not receive the information/email, program, or whatever it is IBM is supposed to provide). I used a trial version of SPSS for the Statistics I course so downloading another trial would be a problem. I will look into options - maybe use my aunt's computer for a new SPSS trial version/period.

Almost done with Part B assignment

After completing, I will move on to part A and then C. Hopefully, I the SPSS part will not require too much time (less than a day).

Work continues

For Part B, I reused information and articles used for previous papers/courses. For example, I researched the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and prepared a paper on the Act during week 7 of the Ethics course. That paper as well as an article on ethics disclosures and company performance (used for that week) were very useful.

I am making progress. Work continues...

Today, I worked away from the computer for several hours...evidence of this below.

Working, working, working

The file at the end of yesterday now uploaded to Google Drive along with files I created for Parts B and C of the week 1 assignment. Yesterday, I filled out the online form to request SPSS (through the school) and am hoping I am up and running by the start of tomorrow. I have to use SPSS for Part C.

I am about to work on "polishing up" my research question(s) and hypotheses. Making progress...

Working on first week1 assignment

I am currently working on the first week 1 assignment. For the project (required by the assignment), I decided on a model to predict company performance/business failure.

Folders in ResearchGate and Google Drive

I just finished creating a folder/project for the course in ResearchGate as well as a folder in Google Drive. The Google Drive folder will help to prevent data and file loss. (My aunt's recent experience losing part of an assignment/file reminded me of such problems).

New course

My new course - Statistics II - starts today 6/19/2017. The course seems really interesting. I will be using SPSS.
